 ALL is not lost

        …………. but where’s it ?

 Attended a Religious Ritual-Reception-Lunch celebration at a wedding hall situated inside  a temple complex where Guests need  to remove  their footwear before  entering.  Carefully tucking sneaky & Reeky  tightly upto  the toe end of  the shoes , parked my  Green Fabric topped “Paragon” sneakers next a pair of Flashy Addidas Duramo & wildcraft Vesta  resting imperiously amidst a heap of shoes  floaters & chappals .

 

Coming out of the Hall after lunch, found “Paragon” still sitting proudly alongside Addidas , Wildcraft  with  a few other  reputed brands.

 My hands reached into  Paro L & Paro R  to extract sneaky & reeky.

They had vanished ! I was distraught and searched everywhere but without  luck. Did some sadist or mentally ill person run away with them because dear Sneaky & reeky  were in the company of  shoes that were superior & basked in spotlight ?. I imagined a long list of suspects: Was it the one from the catering staff, the one who closely resembled Mr. Bean .Could it be the security Guard who  had been casting an evil eye on the Paro s ? or the seemingly disgruntled looking assistant Priest …..  or …  ….or……

Shocked  by the the sudden disappearance  of both of them  I had the mortifying experience of having to wear  shoes on bare feet over formal/party  trousers .

I’m anxious  to  get any information on the whereabouts of sneaky & Reeky   who have trudged faithfully along with me for the last one and  half years.

 While driving back home, some sanity seemed to return

. Realized that my emotional and physical response to the significant loss  may have been irrational & inappropriate. Instantaneous anthropomorphism can adversely  affect  our cognitive process. So my incoherent ramblings may be ignored.

On second thoughts I have just decided to file a FIR at the jurisdictional  Police station 

P:S : Important Info:

Sneaky & Reeky are my favourite “ Rupa ”  brand smoke grey Socks (Doesn’t matter one is shorter than the other)

Paro R & Paro L , my  “Paragon” Sneakers , so named & marked because of their Unique construction.  Even the sharpest eyes cannot distinguish the Right one from the Left !  My  feet, which  have  launched full-scale rebellion  on several  occasions against this incongruity ,will stand testimony.

 

Anyone ever lost something super fave  like that ? Would love to hear.
